I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with MaryRuth Rera for years now. She is one of the loveliest people I know, and is a superb chef. MaryRuth treats her clients as family, and is as warm and charming as she is talented.
 

MaryRuth has prepared five-star cuisine for a lovely meal in my home, and has catered football-watching parties for big gatherings with hungry kids. She has dropped off delicious side dishes for holiday events and made an absolutely scrumptious (you have to try this!) apple crisp for my sister’s birthday. In short, MaryRuth is a chef that can do it all. And she does it with passion, care and devotion to her clients.

Mary Ruth provided a great overall experience for a special celebration in our home. She incorporated our input with her culinary expertise to create a wonderful menu with innovative and delicious food that appealed to all of the guests. Mary Ruth’s team of skilled and responsive professionals took care of all aspects of the event, from start to finish. We highly recommend Mary Ruth and will absolutely use her amazing services again.

Mary Ruth Rera catered our wedding in 2011 it was a tremendous experience. We had a small, intimate wine pairing dinner for 20. We are foodies so we had eight courses! We we were able to select the exact courses and menu items that we wanted and Mary Ruth was terrific in suggesting the types of foods and wines to go together. The actual experience of the wedding dinner and quality of the food was beyond compare. Among other dishes, we had homemade pastas, several meat options and even lobster thermidor! All of the friends and family that came to the wedding still talk to us about it and rave about the food-over a decade later! Everything was so fantastic we had her later cater my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. I would recommend Mary Ruth without hesitation.

I first met Mary Ruth in October of 2021 when she catered a private, in home dinner party to which I was lucky enough to have been invited. Of all the dinners I have had, all over the world, that remains one of the most special I have ever experienced. 

In July of 2023, I called on Mary Ruth to cater a very special birthday picnic for my best friend, at Hoyt Lake. Her thoughtfulness and excitement in planning the menu was extraordinary; it was as if she were planning the most special event for her own family. 

Her attention to detail and passion for food are beyond compare. In addition, she is one of the sweetest humans I know. She truly cares about her clients and insures that their visions are flawlessly executed.

Mary Ruth’s repertoire is astonishingly prolific. From Sformato and Asian tuna tartare to Beef Wellington and Roast Moroccan Lamb, her menus are expansive and diverse. She can literally cater to any cuisine and dietary need. 

Bottom line, if you are looking to host a dinner party for 20 or a picnic for 2, look no further. Her kind demeanor, willingness to please, coupled with her talent and passion make her the only Chef I would call on for any event. As I write this, I am already planning my next. I could not recommend her more highly. 

We still have family and co-workers talking about how wonderful the food was at our wedding. I would not let another day pass without booking Mary Ruth for your big day.  It was very important to us that our guests were well fed.  We had many go back for seconds. WARNING: There was not much food left over to take home!

She was very helpful with recommendations of how much food to order.  Her staff was very professional. We also had Mary Ruth make some desserts to offer in addition to our wedding cake.  They were FABULOUS! We had 80 very happy guests at our wedding!

We hired MaryRuth to cater two of our parties. The first one was for heavy hors d’oeuvres at our home in May 2023 for 40 guests. The second was our Christmas party held at our private tennis Club in December 2023, a larger, much more formal party. For that, she supplied ten selections of heavy hors d’oeuvres for 80 guests. At both events, the food was outstanding. We received numerous compliments from our guests. The displays were perfect. She and her staff were very professional. She gave excellent advice, and she was a pleasure to work with.

Mary Ruth catered our family holiday party and I’d highly recommend her for any event! Her preparation, organization, attention to detail and passion for the job really makes a difference and had a positive impact with all our guests. The food and presentation were 5 star level!
